GUIDELINES FOR AP TET 2021 – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
SCHOOL EDUCATION
DEPARTMET of Andhra Pradesh has released the guidelines for Conducting APTET
2021 (Andhra Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test 2021) in the G.O. MS.No.23
AP TET 2021 SYLLABUS IN TELUGU DOWNLOAD
The Director of School
Education has also released the eligibility criteria for appearing APTET-2021
Highlights of AP TET 2021:
*AP TET 2021 will be
conducted in two categories i.e
*Paper – I (A and B) for classes 1-5
*Paper – II (A and B) for classes 6-8
*Paper IA IIA for Regular schools
*Paper IB IIB for Special schools
***AP TET 2021 will be Computer Based Test (CBT)
*No TET mentioned for P.E.Ts
*Candidates who are eligible for Paper IIA are also eligible for Paper IA
*Paper I difficulty standard up to class 10
*Paper II difficulty standard up to class 12 ( Intermediate)
*No separate test on English
Minimum qualification to appear AP TET PAPER-IA for regular schools:
Intermediate/ Senior
Secondary or Equivalent/ Graduation/ Post graduation with at least 50% marks,
in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled persons at least 45% marks And pass
in 2year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.E.Ed) / 4-year Bachelor of
Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/2-year Diploma in education (Special Education)/
Bachelor of education(B.Ed).
(OR)
Intermediate/ Senior
Secondary or Equivalent with at least 45% marks, in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently
abled persons at least 40% marks And pass in 2year Diploma in Elementary
Education (D.E.Ed) / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/2-year
Diploma in education (Special Education)/ Bachelor of education(B.Ed) in case
of candidates who passed or joined D.El.Ed or D.Ed before NCTE Gazette Notification
dated. 23.8.2010.
Minimum qualification
to appear APTET PAPER-IB for special schools
Intermediate / Senior
Secondary and 2 year D.Ed Special education in any of the category of
disability.
(or)
Intermediate / senior
Secondary and one year Diploma in Special Education (DSE) in any of the
category of Disability.
(or)
Diploma in Community
based Rehabilitation (DCBR) with 6 months Certificate course in Education of
Children with Special needs.
(or)
Post Graduate Diploma
in Community based Rehabilitation (PGDCBR) with 6 months Certificate course in
Education of Children with Special needs.
(or)
Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Worker (MRW)
with 6 months certificate course in Education of Children with special needs.
(or)
Junior Diploma in
Teaching the Deaf.
(or)
Primary Level Teacher
Training Course in Visual Impairment.
(or)
Diploma in Vocational
Rehabilitation – Mental Retardation (DVR-MR)/ Diploma in Vocational Training
and Employment – Mental Retardation (DVTE-MR) with 6 months certificate course
in Education of Children with Special needs.
(or)
Diploma in hearing
language and speech (DHLS) with 6 months certificate course in Education of
Children with Special needs.
(or)
Intermediate/ Senior
Secondary passed with any RCI recognized qualification of minimum one year
duration and 6 months certificate course in Education of Children with Special
needs.
(or) any other equivalent
qualification approved by RCI.
Minimum qualification to appear APTET PAPER-IIA (classes 6-8) for regular schools:
Mathematics and
Science/ Social studies Teachers
Any graduation in
concerned subject with at least 50% marks, Incase of SC/ST/BC/ Differently
abled candidates 40%. And passin Bachelor of education (B.Ed) course /
Bachelor of education(B.Ed – Special Education)
(or)
4-year B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed
with at least 50% marks, Incase of SC/ST/BC/ Differently abled candidates 45%.
Language Teachers
(classes 6-8)
Graduation with
language concerned as one of the optional Subjects (or) Bachelor of Oriental
language (or its Equivalent) (OR) Graduate in Literature (Or) Post Graduate in
Language concerned and Language pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed.with Language
concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of LanguageTeachers.
Minimum qualification
to appear APTET PAPER-IIB (classes 6-8) for Special schools
Graduation with B.ed
(Special Education) / B.Ed.(general) with one year Diploma in Special education
/ B.Ed. (general) with two years Diploma in Special Education/ B.Ed (general)
with Post graduate professional Diploma in Special Education/PG Diploma in
Special education (Mental retardation) / PG Diploma in Special education
(Multiple Disability : Physical and Neurological) PG Diploma in Special
Education( Locomotor Impairment and Cerebral Palsy/ Secondary level Teacher
Training Course in Visual Impairment/ Senior Dilploma in Teaching the Deaf/ BA
B.Ed. in virtual impairment / any other equivalent qualification approved by
RCI.

will be bilingual i.e. English and the language chosen by the candidate, except
Sanskrit.

Weightage of TET in the
Teacher Recruitment
A 20% weightage shall
be given to the TET score in Teacher Recruitment
and 80% for the written test in Teacher Recruitment Test.
Process for Conducting
APTET – Computer Based Test (CBT)
Department of Education
has clearly mentioned that the APTET 2021 will be conducted online utilizing
information technology to ensure accuracy and transparency. Hence the APTET
2021 is going to be Computer Based Test.
Syllabus for APTET 2021
School Education
Department mentions the difficulty standard for APTET PAPER – I will be up to
class 10 and for APTET PAPER II will be up to class 12. However the detailed
syllabus for APTET 2021 will be released along with the Notification.
